Who is, “Eric Harris”?

Hi y’all; or as the kids say “””howdy”””. If you’re reading this chances are you already have an idea of who eric is.

But if you don’t…

I’m a currently a part time student/worker who is employed by TDI Brooks. He is also a Blinn Buccaneer through and through (hahaha help). While being at a community college doesn’t stifle academical pursuits as much as you’d think (or at least at much as I thought), I still desire to be in a place where the populous of the pupils has a more “lofty trajectory”. Even though I believe we need to be the change we want to see in the world I still think by hanging out with people aiming high enough, you’ll somehow or another end up successful. Surely the opposite is true as well…

My job basically entails the following:

  • Get a cup of coffee when you arrive at the office (the timing of this is critical as you want to make sure you are clocked in first as you could waste precious minutes on the clock)
  • To have my body at my desk with two or more monitors displaying something “IT related” (these requirements are flexible
  • To be the metaphorical white blood cells of the office, willing to do whatever is necessary to make sure any technological problems are solved. To stop at nothing to help my fellow coworkers; and to bring back those accidental deleted documents whatever it takes (google things which sometimes go wrong*)

I bet you regret clicking that link huh? I know I did. You cant get that time back you know…

Well a job and education; these things are all subject to change! Some things never change however, a few of these are that I love my family very much! (even though I dont always remember birthdays), I have a passion for music and the joy it can bring people, that I have the best friends in the whole world, that you’re the only person holding yourself back, and that everything is gonna work out just fine 😀

Thanks for reading this, you’re the best!

*There are secrets passed by senior to young IT workers everyday, one of those that is if anyone asks what you are doing or “working on” if you have the option to start talking about apache, grub, or something else you dont understand and they will walk away like you just mentioned your forgot the medicine for your IBS today…
